Three on Thursday: Welcome 2019!
Hi everyone! I hope that you all had a wonderful start to the New Year.
I intended to do a 2018 wrap-up, but I couldn’t really ever get it out in words. I think the short version is that it was a good year, and I feel like I learned a lot about a lot of things. It makes me feel very optimistic about 2019.
I am hesitant to make resolutions, because I’ve never been very good at them. I read Gretchen Rubin’s Four Tendencies in 2018, and I think that I am a bit of a Rebel, which would explain why I get uncomfortable immediately about any commitments. Here are three things I’m going to try to put aside the commitment discomfort for:
The 2019 Run the Year challenge. I don’t run, but my husband does, and he found this challenge. I have committed to walking my half of the year, and so far we have exceeded our daily goal (all 2 days of it lol).
Be more intentional about my reading. I love reading for pleasure, but am not good at doing it daily – I just go in spurts. I’ve started the year pretty well, and finished a book in a day on January 1. It was Dark Matter and I really enjoyed it!
Tracking stuff that I want to do. I tend to keep a lot of my intentions and to do lists in my mind, which makes it easy to forget things. I’m going to be using my new planner (maybe you saw it over on my Instagram?) to do this.
Here’s to hoping that we all find ways that work for us to achieve our goals this year!
